What this site collects, and why.
Short version: your email, if you give it to me, so I can send you what you asked for. Some anonymous usage numbers, so I know which pages are useful. Nothing is sold, ever.

Who is responsible
Alex Lockey runs this site and is responsible for the personal data it collects. Questions, corrections or deletion requests go to hello@alexlockey.com. I aim to reply within a week and will act within one month, as UK GDPR requires.
What I collect
- Newsletter and downloads. Your email address, and your name if you give it, when you subscribe or ask for a guide, checklist or plugin.
- Tools and enquiries. What you type into the AI Operator Index, the UK AI Exposure lead form, the bootcamp form or an enquiry form, including your answers and contact details.
- Calls and payments. If you book a call or join the community, TidyCal and Stripe collect what they need on their own pages. I never see your card details.
- Members area. A session cookie after you enter the passcode, the name you pick for comments, and any comments you post.
- Usage. Google Analytics records pages viewed, rough location, device and referrer. It uses cookies.
Why, and the legal basis
- Sending the newsletter or the thing you asked for: your consent. Unsubscribe in one click from any email.
- Replying to an enquiry or a tool result, and running the members area: legitimate interest, or taking steps towards a contract you asked about.
- Usage numbers: legitimate interest in knowing which pages help people.
- Payments and invoices: contract and legal obligation (tax records).
Who processes it for me
Beehiiv (newsletter), Make.com (moves form entries to the newsletter), Resend (sends notification emails), Vercel (hosts the site), Neon (stores members' comments), Google Analytics (usage), TidyCal (call booking) and Stripe (payments). Some of them store data outside the UK, under the standard safeguards for international transfers.
How long I keep it
Newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Enquiries and tool answers for up to two years after our last contact. Payment records for six years, because the law says so. Members' comments until the members area closes or you ask me to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how it is used. Email hello@alexlockey.com. If you are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
